Mudejar Route

The Mudejar route in Salamanca passes through the great plains and wide horizons that characterize the eastern lands of Salamanca. Mudejar is a mestizo art, synthesis. It arises in the hands of Muslims who lived in Christian territories, in a time of war,

Going through its history, it becomes patent: famous lineages like the House of Alba, o municipalities declared historical complexes such as Peñaranda and Alba de Tormes.

In the territory we can enjoy small towns that hide a repertoire of changing temples, witnesses of times of repopulation and in which the hands of Christians converge, muslims and jews. E In some of them the shadow of the Santa Andariega is projected, Teresa of Jesus, that rests in Alba de Tormes.
